Workshop Report: Shifting Cultivation, Gender and REDD+ in West and Central Africa
In July 2012, FCMC hosted a workshop in Washington, DC to act as the starting point for its study on Shifting Cultivation, Deforestation, Gender and REDD+. The workshop discussed ongoing work with shifting cultivation in West and Central Africa, primarily through the involvement of the Central Africa Regional Program for the Environment (CARPE) and the Sustainable and Thriving Environments for West African Regional Development (STEWARD) Program.
