Elephants Testing the Air in Uganda
MURCHISON NATIONAL PARK, UGANDA - MARCH 2008. A herd of elephants with mom and calf using their trunks to smell who is around. USAID/Uganda through its WCS/WILD program is supporting biodiversity conservation in Northern Uganda. Activities include working with the Uganda Wildlife Authority to improve park management and supporting local communities and government to develop migration corridors between protected areas to conserve key wildlife species and reduce human-wildlife conflict.
